The corpse of the 40-year-old man was discovered at a bush path yesterday and police have promised to investigate the case.
The body of a man has been found lifeless in a bush path at Oniparaga in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo state.
The man who has been identified as Akeem Idowu
was found dead yesterday, Wednesday, January 21 in a bush path. The
40-year-old Akeem Idowu had a huge injury on his back and according to
reports residents suspect it to be a gunshot wound.
The daughter of the deceased, Waliat Idowu,
has reported the incident to the police at the Araromi-Obu Division in
Odigbo while the corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the Ore
General hospital’s morgue for an autopsy.
Spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, Wole Ogodo,
has confirmed the incident and also disclosing that police officers who
visited the scene of the incident found the body of the deceased face
down as a result of gunshot on his back.
Wole Ogodo also revealed that the police are already investigating the case and hope to bring the perpetrators to book
